Shrill Noise

I have a 2015 Seneca and hear an intermittent shrill squeak which lasts for several minutes coming from what appears to be under the bed....What could this be ?

so sitting still and with the motor off you hear a noise, when you hear it try shutting off your water pump, if that doesn't work shut off the ac/heater, it has to be one of those

Not sure about a Seneca, but our Greyhawk has its fuse box under the bed and the cooling/exhaust fan kicks on and off intermittently mimicking the sound you are describing.

Now that's a definite possibility ! I will check ......assuming that it is the fan,how do you stop it from screeching ?

as for the inverter.....no, its further up front

If it is there, the shrill may be that the bearings are going in the fan assembly

I'm betting it's your converter fan. The fan in my converter doesn't put out a very pleasant sound either. Rather annoying to say the least. They're like the small muffin fan found in a desktop computer.

The fan is similar to a muffin fan on a desk top computer. Mine is audible when on, usually a thermostat in the convertor controls it to reduce heat when under a load.

Sounds like a possibility. Make sure you are using some dc voltage( under load) when testing as it may not come on under normal conditions.

If your converter is there then I would vote for 2 things. First fan as described previously and/or possibly electric noise from a transformer. Mine went the first 6 months with an electronic noise that was ear piercing. The whole converter was replaced and removed the noise.

When my water heater is on electric power it occasionally makes a high-pitched whine. I've found turning it off for a few minutes, then back on again, will usually stop the whine.

If your water heater is located under the bed, that could be the problem.
