Side windows on Greyhawk 31FS
I purchased a new Greyhawk 31FS this summer. I love it so far, but every time we open the slider windows over the couch or dinette the handle pulls off, including the rubber sleeve. This also happens with the bathroom slider window. Anyone else have this problem or know a possible solution?

No problem with ours. Looks like a trip to the dealer for some warranty work.

Good advice, because it happens on every sliding window I assumed it was a very poor design. I can't see that anyone else has experienced the problem so I suppose a trip back to the dealer is in order. Thanks!!

This happened to the window over couch
We just found this. For a couple of months we just thought the window over the couch did not have a handle. Thought it was odd not to have one. Then we looked under the couch and there it was with rubber gasket. Can't get it to stay on now.. probably uses some type of glue to hold it on.

Hi Guys,
Just read your posts on this...we've had the handles come off 3 of our windows (2011 Greyhawk 31FS - both bunk bed windows & bathroom window) several times. The dealer "repaired" them twice and we still are having the same problem. Solution = I'll fix it myself. :-)

This also happened in ou 2011 31DS. Dealer had to replace the whole window, which took quite a while to get in from Jayco. Luckily it happened at the end of last season, so the dealer has our MH for over two months. Window works fine now, but I hold my breath each time I open any of the windows.

They did "fix" them under warranty.... but it did not last. Just got back from a 10 day trip and two of the windows did the same thing. Now I am at or near the end of my 2 year warranty and I sure don't want the dealership to have my motorhome for the next two months at the very beginning of our season so I guess I will fix it myself. RESchriebJr, please let me know what you did to fix it yourself and how it worked out.... thanks!!

It seems from the posts that the issue may have been isolated to the 2011 model year.

I am having the same issue on my 2011 31FS. I believe the issue is ultimately caused by the window not sliding freely in the track. If it were sliding more freely, the handle wouldn't pull off the back of the window. Gluing the rubber sleeve on would work, but ultimately, I think the window track needs lubed.
Anyone have any recommendations for window track lubricant? I'm probably going to spray some silicone lube in the bottom track and see if that helps.

2011 31DS, both windows. Under warranty so dealer/factory replacements. In future, on my dime, I would use a silicon adhesive on the rubber grippers.

We have a 2012 Melbourne 28F with the same problem. All windows' handles came off at one time or another. Dealer repaired (with glue) all windows, so we'll see.
