Slide opening
Does anyone know the inside opening of the bedroom slide on a 29mv? I want to replace the queen bed with a King if I buy it.

It won't fit. The bed width goes end to end w/ the space available.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. If I remove the end tables would a King fit?

Oh, I'd have to measure that. Its in the shop at the moment; I expect to get it back next weekend. Maybe somebody with better access to their rig can chime in.
FWIW, you'll have to futz the the support under the mattress if it fits side to side

Yes. I had planned on removing the end tables and adding a plywood base that would fit a King. The opening has to be 76 inched though. You see my wife has to sleep with a dozen unecessary pillows so a queen size gets crowded.

Side shelves are 5 1/2" wide. Inside width, window to window is 72" if side tables are removed. Can't exceed 74" in length.

Hummm, two inches. I think I can squeeze one in. Thank you for taking the time to measure.

They sell something that's called a "California" King. 72 x 84. Perfect!

Unless I missed something, no one talked about the length of the compartment in that slide. not sure, but in my 29MV their isn't any room for expansion (length-wise). When closed the base of the standard queen is tight up against the wardrobe. I don't know f'sure if you have a full 7ft. to work with.

Thanks dreamgolfer for that info. So what is the length of the Jayco one? I'll have to make sure I don't exceed that.

I measured the length of the existing bed from the headboard to the end of the OEM mattress. 74" is what I measured so your California King will fit.
You're right, you don't have 7' to work with. It's only 6' 2".

Aw shucks! Yeah, after reading your numbers again, I can see where it won't fit. A custom mattress would be pretty expensive.

Unless I just do foam and cut it myself. Not crazy about foam though. Hey, thanks everyone for the inputs.
