Slide out starting to make noise

Hello,

I have a 2015 29ME the rear bedroom slide is starting to crack and pop while going out. I am pretty sure it is a schwintek. Anyone else have experience with this? Anything I can do to align it possibly?

Lubrication

Silicone on the gear track & rubber slide lube on the sweeper seals makes a quieter slide experience

the rear slides are run by servo motors. The key is to allow them to fully extend or retract before stopping the switch. Hold the switch until the motors completely stop. This allows the servos to orient themselves or pair up for the next use.

Slide out starting to make noise

As stated above with swintek holding the button for a second or two after the unit stops is critical for proper operation. If you have a swintek two rails on each side of the slide, google online video showing how to lubricate the mechanism. There are a couple specific locations to apply lubricant in addition to lining the sweeps. Run the slide in and out completely three or four times to get the motors realigned. Also check the screws holding the two motors to be sure they are tight.
On the 38ts the bed top slides on the bed base and I lube the base to reduce the drag not sure if this does anything or not. Just seems like a piece of wood dragging on a plastic wear strip might need some help.
I get a lot of noise from the slide toppers and need to get up there to see what I can do about that.
Best wishes

I can deal with the noise as long as it works properly.

Same here. We have owned a few different brands of motorhomes over the years but the slides on each were made by the same company and we have learned what's "normal".

Mine were getting pretty noisy toward the end of last season. I looked up the 'proper' method of lubing them and they are much quieter, now. I bought the recommended brand of PTFE lube and discovered it didn't come with the "red straw" to get the lube into the critical areas, I ended up buying a WD-40 Specialist version of the same type of lube (NOT original WD-40) that came with a convenient flip up straw and really like the convenience. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Been using this product for the last year. Works great and the straw is very convenient.
