Slides don’t work

I have a 2016 Seneca 37TS.
I have a slideout failure, on all 3 slides.
The main power switch turns on the 12v lights but doesn’t turn on that red light that usually comes on. Solenoid does ‘clunk’ and the lights etc all seem to work.
As far as I can determine, only the slides aren’t working.
I can’t find any fuses out, and the solenoid lets power through it.
The power gear circuit boards have power at only two of them.
Anyone know about any issues that are common?
BTW batteries are as new. No power to slides when plugged in either.

1. Check your grounds at your batteries and all over. You might have a loose ground.
2. Check the fuses at the power panel.

Thanks. Grounds on the batteries are solid. All 12v fuses I can find are good. Checked fuses at the solenoid and others that are evident in the battery compartment.

Also checked all fuses at the converter panel.

Also checked slow burn fuses on the Power Gear motherboards, all good.

Check your main grounds. I have an issue where the 12v stuff won't work unless I'm plugged in to shore or truck, or I put jumper cables in between the battery negative and the frame

Double checking... You say that the red light at the main power On/Off switch at the door does not light the red light? That should be ON for the rest of the coach to work. -

Does your awning work? Sound like it is possibly the ignition interlock system. On my unit once i start the coach I can not move the slides or awning. If that system fails it could prevent the units from operating.

Yes my awning works. That red light ehat indicates the 12v power is on, is not lighting up, but the unit IS getting 12v power....

Like others have said, check the grounds, most all are located under the rear of the coach above the trailer hitch...had issues with mine before I fixed them right. Also I have had both slide relays stick on me and before I replaced them, tapping them made them work again. They are the 2 silver ones at the bottom of the 12 volt side of the fuse panel.

I don't have a Seneca, but I have found that some systems on my Greyhawk have inline fuse holders under the coach. Such as the power steps and the leveling jacks. Never had one blow, but makes me wonder if there is a fuse to the Seneca slides hidden away some where.

Checked my '17 FS fuse panel and I have a 30A fuse for each slide but no relays in the fuse compartment. Does anyone know where the slide relays are located for a 2017 FS?

Thanks

I’ll have a look under the back for ground connections, thanks. Everything else seems to work fine, so I’m not yet convinced that it’s a ground issue, but I’ve got nothing to loose. lol

Sorry but have to ask;

Are you under warranty?

Called a mobile tech?

Any relays and slide controls are most likely under the rear bed, they are on our 37RB. In ours there is a bank of 4 standard automotive relays, still not sure what they control, then there is the front slide control and then the rear Schwintech control. Unfortunately this location is not good if you cant open the slide to get to them.

Do you know if all the relays are the same number. I'm sure my config is the same (I do have the same controllers) but it is a huge pain to get to them. If they are all the same, I'll just order one as a spare. Thanks for the info/help.

Thanks, pita are under the sliding closet, and mounted on the back plate beside the Converter. About the dumbest place one could imagine to put them.

I have power to two of the Power Gear control panels, but one doesn’t have power. Still, none of the slides will work.

So, my Seneca is in the shop. My future son in law is in aircraft maintenance and was able to pinpoint a loose fuse, and that the Power Gear circuit board for the bedroom was fried. He figures that board had been ‘arching’ for some time before it fused.

So in short order, I have two of three slides working now and extended warranty should cover the repair.

If I had the parts I could probably do it myself.

Thanks all who contributed!!!
