Some Yellow and Red Marker Lights Not Working

Hello, I am prepping my 2019 Melbourne Prestige for the Summer and I noticed about half of the yellow marker lights in the front and half of the red marker lights in the back are not working. The other half of the marker lights are working fine as well as the other exterior lights.

Is it very complicated to access the bulbs and see what is going on? Is there any trick to getting the covers off the lights? I would think the problem is at the bulb rather than the fuse since some marker lights are working and some are not.

Any insights and guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Odds are the markers are on two fuses or lines. Almost certainly wired in series. The problem is that somewhere the wire from the switch to the first bulb in the series is cut, loose, broken. It may be the first one in line is where the problem is due to a bad connection, corrosion, etc. stopping the current from getting further.

You need a wiring diagram from Jayco to figure this out.

I had a similar problem - I had brake lights but no tail, top rear markers or mid ship yellows. Using a power probe I was able to apply 12 volts to any of the individual lights and light up the rest so I knew grounds were good. I pulled every light off the camper to help trace the path of wires. I spent the better part of 2 full days tracing and replacing the crappy scotch lock connectors that were used throughout the trailer. I finally found a bad connection above the interior ceiling of all places!

Thanks. That is just the sort of nightmare I am worried about. I am still under warranty so hopefully this is covered.

Good luck! I did do quite a bit of clean up work, removed all the scotch lock connectors at each light and re-crimped and or soldered and shrink wrapped what I could reach.
