Soundstream - how to play TV while driving?

I have a 2019 Entegra Odyssey 31F. It’s pretty much the same vehicle as the Jayco Greyhawk.

I can’t seem to play the TV while I’m driving. The Soundstream thinks that it’s a safety issue, but I can’t possibly see the TV when I’m driving because it’s behind me and above my head in the overhead cab.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I tried unplugging the audio out so maybe it wouldn’t run through the Soundstream player, but that didn’t work. To make matters worse, once I put the thing in drive with the TV on, it won’t seem to go back to just playing music. It’s so frustrating!

This has been dealt with at great length on this site. If you search it, you will find it,and also find out it is a very simple fix, - as easy as cutting one wire.

Well, I see lots and lots of complaints about the stereo but not anything specifically about my issue.

Seems like the best thing to do is just replace it with something that doesn’t completely suck?

Are you putting the DVD into the headunit in the dash?


There are a couple of hurdles to watching TV while driving. First is that the outlet for the TV usually has a relay that keeps it powered down while driving. Like the previous poster said, there are several posts here about how to fix that.


But, the Jensen headunit in our Greyhawk also disables viewing DVDs while we're driving. I haven't figured out how to disable that.
