Angry SoundStream VRN-65HB Radio

Couple of weeks ago we upgraded from a Jayco Travel Trailer to a 2019 Jayco Greyhawk 31F. So far, so good...except what they call the radio installed by (according to the sales person) Jayco. 1st, the manual was missing but downloaded one from the web site for SoundStream. Apparently hiring someone fluent in English wasn’t part of their business model. 2nd, the delay in the camera pictures from the side cameras and rear camera coming up on the radio screen is ridiculous. In traffic, if you wait for the side camera picture to come up after turning on the turn indicator, any opening in the traffic to allow the lane change will be gone. The backup camera also takes a long, long time to display after putting the RV in reverse. Our Hondas and Fords do not have this delay, so there is better technology out there. Last, the radio says it does not sync with iphones yet. Yet?? Is this a lemon? Has anyone else had these problems?

Okay so there are a couple of threads about these outstanding (NOT) Soundstream units.

Instead of suffering with the exact same things you describe I put in a different backup camera and monitor that hang from the soffit above the center of the dash, use a Garmin RV , and added a Pioneer stereo system.

I am now an informed and happy RVer as I drive down the road.

Dealer just replaced mine, GPS wasn't working. Not that I used it but I paid for it and figured they should make good on it. Definitely a clunky unit.
Good luck!
