Soundstreme VRN-65 Junk

We have a 2019 Jayco Grayhawk 29MV.
We have the dreaded Soundstreme 65HXB radio with GPS.
I was trying to do the soundstreme update yesterday to fix the multiple character entry issue.
The receiver will not recognize the SD card with the update.
At this point I am unable to perform the character update from Soundstreme.
I thought I would update the GPS using their Naviextras application that you have to download.
Pulled the SD card and my computer did the update to the info on the SD card.
Now when the radio starts up, I am at the same screen as above and no GPS on the radio.
When it does boot to the radio function and other functions, GPS will not start as it is not reading the SD card to boot the GPS system.
So frustrating with this radio/system.

What have people replaced this with where you still retain all the functions?

Todd

Have the same junk radio. I'm just gonna deal with it. Use my cell phone for navigation. I would be a little hesitant to do the swap because I don't want to lose the back up camera or any other functions or have someone hack any wires in the dash.

I made a video on how to do it. I’ve found that it can act weird to certain cards. I’d first try another card. Past that, I ended up installing a Kenwood DNX875S. It does everything the radio did. Unless you are competent at installing advanced radios, I’d take it to a car audio shop.

The only difference I was doing, was not actually turning the ignition on.
Our radio has power even with the key out of the ignition.

I will call soundstreme on Monday.
I will probably have to call when I have the RV here at the house though.

Thanks

Do you have to main power switch on? Turn that off if you do. Also- after you turn it off, you have to open the door.

Main power switch was on.
I will retry with the main power switch off while it is sitting in storage.

Thanks

Contact RIVERPARK https://riverparkinc.com/support/ about the radio issue, and ask for Jimmy Fletcher. They were awesome it took three radios to get mine right but they took care of the problem. I was given this information from Jayco.
