Squeaking Microwave

Does anyone have a problem with their microwave squeaking bad while they are driving. The noise from o ur in o ur Melbourne 24K is very annoying. We take everything out when driving so it's not coming from there or the door.

There is a filter on the bottom of the microwave. You will get some noise from the that holds the filter in. I used some sound deadening on the sheet metal of the microwave left over from my van conversion but some thin foam tape stuck in where metal meets metal works as well. The vent on the outside wall will also rattle or make wind noise. I am tall and can reach it but it seems like it will click or lock closed when pressed and that works for awhile.

We test drove a 2014 Greyhawk with a squeaky microwave that was ***really*** squeeky! The owner had made a shim of sorts in an attempt to reduce the squeak.

In the end, the 2016 Greyhawk we bought didn't have the problem - so I think it's fixable.

When we were thinking of getting the 2014, I figured I'd drop the microwave down from the cabinet and put some thin felt or foam in between the top of the 'wave and the cabinet.

Had that issue - bought a strip of felt from the sewing section of some store or other and crammed it in between the microwave and the back wall at the bottom of the microwave - squeak 95% gone
