Squeaky entry door

During our travels last week we noticed our entry door of our 2015 MV29 Greyhawk has a very noticeable squeak. It's at the latch part of the door. I put some slide lubricant on it which helped for a while but it kept returning later on down the road. Does anybody have any ideas on a permanent fix for this? Any ideas? Thanks in advance for advice/help.

Our frame needed adjustment to close the gap between the door and the frame. The gap was so big that the latch would only engage the first step in the strike plate. This condition causes a ton of noise going down the road.

I carry a can of silicone spray and when it gets noisy the silicone quiets it down. When it gets bad I do it again.

Don't know much about the C class rv's. But I can say, any squeak within the unit is wrong. Two surfaces rubbing together when they shouldn't is never ok. I'd have a dealer check it out before it gets worse. Preventative repairs can save ya $$$ down the road. Who knows, maybe just needs adjusting...like bgermane had done.

Mine does the same thing... Had to pull to the side of the road, cause the noise started to get to me. Put some tape on the door for the remainder of the trip.

I've sprayed and sprayed everywhere (silicone) I could around the door including all hinges and latches. I managed to stop the squeak for a couple of thousand miles but now it's back again. Looks like I'm on the same quest you are to stop the squeak again.

Mine has a loud "clicking" noise. I think it's coming from the screen part of the door but I'm not sure. At first I thought it was the awning but I let it out a little and then stuffed towels between the parts. The funny thing is it worked for a bit but then I thought the reason it did was because I went in and out of the door a few times. Another 10 miles down the road and it was doing it again. I'm going to try foam weather stripping in all of the places it touches and try that. But I will also try lubing it. I think I'll use a chain lube because it's thicker and give that a shot. It's a small thing but quite annoying. Ha!

Spraying silicon around the latches (screen and main door) has shut it up for the last 3K miles. Here's hoping!

I use "white grease" on the latch plunger and latch plate. This is the same grease as used on the tow hitch ball. I try 3 other types of spray lubs, but this lasts the longest.

I've got a jar of that grease from when I used to pull a trailer, will have to give it a try.
