Question Steering Improvement

Just took our new (to us) '06 Granite Ridge out for a trip and the steering is, as most of you know, subject to "wandering" and the need to continually correct.

What have folks done to fix this? I know that Camping World has about 5 different fixes for this - but what has worked the best?

All advice appreciated. Thanks.

Joe,

Did you replace the existing stabilizer or was this a new install? I am trying to understand if the Safe-T is better than the standard equipment?

Thanks,

Jim

Interested in knowing what you had to do to get your Ford Edge ready to tow? 4 Wheels down or what?

The Ford Edge is able to be towed 4 down... I had a BlueOx tow bar and Stay-in-Play Duo brake controller installed... after the car is connected to the MH I put the transmission in "N" turn the key as far off as it will go... pump the brakes to bleed off any vacuum in the system.... switch the brake controller on... and go.... I start the Edge and run 3-4 min at rest and fuel stops... one of the reasons I bought the Edge was the ability to be towed 4 down...didn't want a tow dolly... and the Stay-in-Play brake system is installed in the car and no acutator to lug and install each time you tow like Brake Buddy... hope this helps...

Hi Joe,

I had the Safe-T steering stabilizer installed on my 31FS and it made a HUGE difference. Before it was a bear to keep in a straight line on the highway takeing a lot of concentration. After installation the wandering was cut by 90%.

Well worth the investment.
