Still trying to decide...

Hello, I thought that I was going to purchase a 31fs greyhawk but have now reconsidered. I am leaning now towards a 29W, 29MV, or a 29ME. I like the pass thru storage on the 29W and 29ME but was wondering about the ccc on the 29ME because of the 3 slides and don't know if I would like the u-dinette on the 29W. I went to my local dealer and looked at their models 31fs, 29mv, 30x and 31ds. I really liked the trifold sofa in the 29MV. I just wish they had the 29W and the 29ME to look at. Can anyone help me out by commenting on if they prefer u-dinette or regular dinette? CCC on the 29ME or 29W? Any suggestions on any of these 3 models would be great. Thank you very much. Who knew buying an RV would be so difficult! Lol

We purchased the mv.The inside of the coach is very roomy, tri fold sofa is great for guests to sleep on,and the shower is very adequate and roomy, not so inother models.
Super amounts of storage in the cabinets,Out side storage is adequate if you dont carry a lit of extra juck,we found we made it work for us and still had a couple of compartments that was'nt used.We did look closely at all the other models.Good luck !

Thank you for the response. I did like the 29mv that I got to see. That trifold looked way better than the jackknife. That is one of the reasons for considering the 29 models. It looks like a person trades outdoor storage for more indoor storage on the 29mv from what I can tell by just looking at pics online of the other 2 models.

All the cabinets and compartments in the world won't amount to much if you have no CCC to carry it all. I'd look at the weight sticker before getting too attached to a particular model.

At RV shows if I see a rig that looks interesting, the first thing I do is walk around to the other side of the RV, open the driver's side door, and look at the yellow sticker. No point in going in if I'm going to obsess about how much stuff I can bring. I've seen pass through rear storage that was cavernous on rigs with 1200 pounds of cargo !!! After you subtract a family of 4, how much stuff are you really bringing?

Just my 2 cents, worth about a penny.

Exactly what I was I was wondering on the 29ME. I know the 29MV that I looked at had 1645 lb ccc. I have not been able to find anything on the 29ME or the 29W. I was thinking the 29W would be lighter since it has only one slide in the living area.

The 29MV I sold had over 2000 pounds. Its amazing how there is such variation in the same model from year to year and rig to rig.

The Jayco website for 2018 Greyhawks lists the 29ME, 29W and 31DS as "Dealer Stock Only" which suggests they will be discontinued in 2019. Probably won't find another to look at in person unless you do a search on the web for other dealer that have them stock.

Unless you are in a big hurry, it shouldn't be more than a few months that your dealer will have the specs for the 2019 models and you can compare those floorplans to the 2018s they have in stock.

Ok thanks. I did not realize what dealer stock meant. I am not in a big hurry other than I figured it was better to buy early in the year or later in the year.
