We have an old Surge Guard and appreciate it. In SC we were at a campground where it had aluminum wire. The neutral opened and put 220 v where 110 v should be. Our EMS shut off the electric until we got home to reset it. Our neighbors lost TV's, inverters, computers, and other electric devices. The new Surge Guards tell you more because all we have are some lights. However, we won't go without it.
