Taking on water 2013 Greyhawk 31FS: water level indicator??

Hello...this is our 3rd RV so not exactly newbies, but not understanding the water level indicator...it only says '1/3'...we have that filter on at the entry point but after an hour and a half, it still says '1/3 full' . How do we know when the water tank is full? We just picked the unit up 10 days ago...many thanks!

The water will run out the tank overflow. Are you sure you have the valves set correctly for "city fill" or "fresh water fill"?

When using the City Fill setting on the water control panel, I can hear water splashing as it enters the FW tank beneath the Greyhawk. And as Grumpy noted, it runs out of the overflow fitting when full.

I do a timed fill. I measured the time to overflow and guesstimated that 1/3 of time equals 1/3 fill. For me, that is 4 minutes when refilling the tank.

Water gauge indicator issue..how to tak on water

Thank you all, got it all figured out and done. The dial inside the 'basement' was not on the right one, city/county, etc. Grumpy, you got it, as soon as the change was made, we could hear the water go in.

Appreciate the chiming in so much..we will learn as we go. Happy Trails, all!
