Tankless water heater

My GTWH comes on, runs for about 30 seconds, never gets hot (exhaust or water) and shuts off. Repeat same result. Propane is nearly full. Refrig and stove work fine. Any diagnostic steps I can check?

Thanks,

Check your igniter. Sometimes they get bumped and don't have clearance to light. The other suggestion is to run two faucets at one time to increase the flow. (Low flow it will not work) My igniter was touching something and had the same symptoms that you are describing. Hope that helps.

Don't have a Tankless in my TT, but have you checked for spider webs in the gas/air mixing chamber? Spiders appear to like the smell of propane.

Must have good water flow, no air in water system, try removing your water filter. Turn your heat valve down if turned all the way max. Some models have a reset button.

Open the access panel on the outside. There is a little (tiny) white push button reset switch. Push it in. That will fix your issue.

Go to the Girard website and figure out if you have a Gen 1, 2 or 3 model. If it's a Gen2, then yes - inside, upper left and towards the back is a round white cylinder (about the diameter of a nickel). There is a tiny, black reset button on the middle of that cylinder.

Pressing it restores the gas ignition on my Gen 2.
Once, I had to flip the red On/Off switch to off before it would restart,

There's *one* Youtube video out there where the fellow shows you how to do it too.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I tried resetting the unit about 10 times in a row and finally it started. I am thinking there was water in the unit from a heavy sideways rain. Anybody else have this?
