Tankless water heater and sanitizine fresh water tank

Hey all,
I'm going to start Boon-docking and want to sanitize my fresh water tank and system. Read the manual for my 2013 Melbourne 29d motor home, but it is unclear about the tank-less water heater. I know you should bypass a water heater with a holding tank but this is tank-less so what procedure should I follow?

A light dose of clorox and water will clean out the tankless water heater but make sure it is OFF and not heating!. Just run it through slowly to pick up anything in there and flush it out.

In all reality the water gets so hot in there and the velocity of it going through all you really have to do is run the heater clean water, let it heat up and run a few gallons through and anything living in there will be long gone.

I know this is an old thread but I am searching for the same answer as I found out that you should never put in chemicals (bleach) into a tankless water heater. Vinegar is preferred and I am trying to find out the correct ratio and f that will sanitize the whole system as well since I have no bypass on the tankless.

For what it's worth, I've sanitized my tankless with bleach and water for the since 2016. I'm going to assume the concentration of NaClO is low enough to make damage neglible.

Posting this, I'm sure I just jinxed myself.
