Tape holding wires on tanks

I just noticed that on my Jayco GreyHawk that that black tape that was used to hold the grey tanks wires that go to the sensors have come loose and falling off. I would have thought there would be a better way to secure the wires than black tape. Anybody have that happen to them? RB

Ours weren't secured with anything, so I taped them to the tanks with Gorilla tape. Lasted about 3 months, then fell off! Back under with some "P" clips and a screwdriver, and secured them to the tank flange hanger brackets. Your MH may have a different arrangement to secure your tanks, but there's always a way. Tape just won't last long.

Thanks for reply. Does the adhesive clips work or should I find a way to screw to something else? RB

Grumpy has a great idea with the eternabond. That would stay put.

The "P" clips screw to something. This is what I've used, just a different size.

I used a couple zip ties. One around a frame member, then a couple more daisy chained to pull the wires up. Been that way now for about 9 years.

You're lucky it was just wires. I took our 29MV in for service and while showing the service department the issue, I noticed that both the tank heating pads were falling off. They used some kind of adhesive and they haven't moved in over 3 years.

Maybe that’s what’s falling off, I thought it was just a bunch of tape holding the wires but maybe it’s the heating pads. RB

What adhesive would work to re glue my heating pads back on. Looks like both are falling off. RB

Don't use ETERNABOND on those.. You don't want anything covering them.
