Theater seats with seat belts

Maybe this is an unrealistic question, but any chance you could remove the sofa from a 31FS and replace it with aftermarket theater seats? The seatbelt are bolted to the floor, correct? So they could run through the new seats? Am I TOTALLY off base here? (I could be...it wouldn't be the first time! )

Sounds reasonable, hot rodders do this all the time.

I would assume that both the sofa and belts are bolted/secured to the floor, otherwise if there were an accident, the sofa could move where the belts do not. I for one would NOT want to be sitting there if the sofa wasn't secured as well! Just something else to consider.

Valid point. I have been able to bolt theater seats into the floor of our previous TT using the same bolts from the sofa we removed, so I would hope this would be the same option. Thanks for the reminder!

We replaced the sofa in our redhawk and bolted the new sofa in using the old factory bolts with a bit of modification. The seat belts are bolted to the floor independently.

Awesome! I was hoping to hear from someone who actually had done it! I appreciate the time you took to reply!
