We just purchased a used Demco Dolly it has a plate on it that looks like it holds a tag. Does this need a tag? Also do they have titles. Newbie at having a dolly. Need to know before we head off somewhere.

Can't say I know for sure but I found this on line and they state the following - Two different answers. States recognize the licensing statutes of other states (assuming you are not registering out of state just to avoid state taxes). So, if your car, motorhome and dolly meet the statutes in your home state, you are good to go.

As jayfowler said each state is different. In Ohio the answer is NO for plates and trailers do not have titles.

Indiana it seems like they title and plate everything

Thanks everyone. Did a little digging on line today and found out that in GA we do not need tag ot title. But this one should have a title. Going to try and get previous owner to come up with it or the info needed to get a duplicate in case we ever sell it to someone out of state.
