Three Burner stove 2016 31DS

I have an Attwood "Wedgewood Vision" gas stove.
My problem is the center burner lights and seems well at first, but after a few minutes it starts getting a yellow flame and in addition at lower setting it will start making a strange hissing noise. I believe the hissing noise is the flame backing up into the burner head, I can turn the burner off and restart and it works fine. Is there a regulator that I can adjust higher?
The yellow flame means to me that I don't have complete combustion and I am making carbon monoxide from incomplete combustion. I get a little carbon buildup on the bottom of the pan, but not a lot. could this also be from low pressure?
the other two burners seem to work fine.
I'm curious to heard if others have these problems?

There should be an adjustment under the base.
Should look like a slide gate to open or close to let room air be pulled along with the gas.
I would try adjusting this gate. I would think you need to open it a bit as the propane is too lean and not getting enough room add mixed.

If that doesn't work, try it both ways.

There should be a screw there that you will need to loosen to slide the gate. Tighten after adjustment.

Smile i think i fixed it

Doug,
Thanks for the reply and hint. I remembered adjusting the air flow on an old Coleman camp stove and what you said made sense. Today i found time to open the stove up and investigate.
First- the air intake is a fixed opening, no adjustment possible.
Second - there was a screw laying on the drip pan under the burner. I removed the burner and determined that the screw was from the bracket that holds the burner in place. The empty hole was stripped, allowing the screw to fall out. It also allowed extra air to be drawn into the burner and flame to come out the bottom. Hence the hissing noise i heard on occasion.
I found a screw with a different thread and was able to tighten the bracket securely. seems to be working well now, thanks for the note on possible repairs.
