Towing a Ford Ranger

We have never had a motorhome. We are looking at a Class C 2021 Jayco Greyhawk 30Z. It is 32.5 ft. long. Ford E450, 350 hp. We would like to tow our 2019 4 door Ford Ranger 4 wheel drive. I think the hitch is rated around 8000 lbs. Does that mean the motorhome is capable of towing that much? I think our Ranger weighs around 4500 lbs. Will this motorhome pull it or will it be a struggle? Thanks in advance for any advice.

I have a 2021 Greyhawk 29MV and I'm towing a 2019 Ford Explorer with no problems.

I have a 2019 29MVP and routinely flat tow either a 2019 4wd F150 or a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. As long as your Ranger has the electronic transfer case and you follow all of the instructions, you will be fine. Pick a tow bar set up and braking system you like or have. Expect around 7 MPG in hilly terrain.

The vehicle's Rated Capacities sticker should still be in place on any motorhome you are looking to buy. Mine is on the driver's door jamb, but it could be somewhere similar on the one you are looking at. Check it out, but I agree a Ranger is within the acceptable weight range for a motorhome built on a Ford E-450 chassis.
