Towing Ford F-150 4 door crewcab Pickup

Does anyone tow a Ford pickup with their Jayco Seneca? Tow a Jeep Liberty now with no problems. Hardly know it is there. Thinking about going to a larger tow vehicle, like a Ford F-150 4 door crewcab pickup. Curb weight is about 4850 pounds. The Liberty curb weight is 4290.
Interested in knowing how it works.
thanks.

The Seneca will tow it. There are owners towing 8,000 pounds of stacker trailers with vehicles and toys inside.
Check the vehicles owner's manual for specific in-tow procedures.

Yes it can be "Recreationally" flat towed (All 4 wheels on the ground) BUT you must have the transmission and Transfer case in Neutral. To get the transfer case into neutral follow the steps below;
  • Turn key ON but do not start truck
    Press and Hold Brake Pedal
Rotate the 4 wheel drive selector to 2H
    Shift Transmission to Neutral
Rotate the 4 wheel drive switch from 2H to 4L and back to 2H FIVE times within 7 seconds

You should see a message stating Neutral Tow - Leave in Neutral or Neutral Tow enabled on your dash display.

Turn your key as far towards off as it will go and leave it. It will not shut all the way off.

To exit Neutral Tow mode
  • Turn 4 wheel drive selector back to 2H
    Turn key back to on
    Press and hold brake pedal
Shift transmission out of neutral and into any gear
    Release brakes.

Display will show - "Neutral Tow Disabled"

Other questions just as important remain such as is there a base plate available for it on the market, what height will the Seneca need of a "drop" hitch to make the tow bar level, and what sort of auxiliary brakes and lighting will you add to the towed?
