I did not have to pull or remove any pieces. It was tucked under the dash on the right side almost over the gas pedal. Mine was all taped up with black tape with just a few ends hanging out. I actually couldn't see the wire ends until I pulled the bundle out. It was just a big bundle of black tape.

Mine was the same way. One difference in mine is, what was supposed to be the "solid" red was actually red with green stripes. I verified that this was indeed the constant with a volt-meter and checked that the red/white was switching with the brakes.

thanks found it as per previous post use the blue wire marked A as for red there are two just use the one with 12 volt or are they both live?

I believe you have got it. I did verify with a tester that I had the correct wires identified just to be sure. The install was really easy.

On mine, red/green was constant. Red/white would have power when brake pedal was depressed.
