I did not have to pull or remove any pieces. It was tucked under the dash on the right side almost over the gas pedal. Mine was all taped up with black tape with just a few ends hanging out. I actually couldn't see the wire ends until I pulled the bundle out. It was just a big bundle of black tape.
Good luck.

Mine was the same way. One difference in mine is, what was supposed to be the "solid" red was actually red with green stripes. I verified that this was indeed the constant with a volt-meter and checked that the red/white was switching with the brakes.

I believe you have got it. I did verify with a tester that I had the correct wires identified just to be sure. The install was really easy.

On mine, red/green was constant. Red/white would have power when brake pedal was depressed.

I had it installed at a reputable trailer business that sold the products. I had the switch, under the hood to replace the 2 fuses, installed by my Chevy dealer. This has also been repaired or replaced once, after 5 years of use. Total cost including part was probably $2000. Liability and insurance make this a good investment. If you were ever involved in a wreck, having a professional installation would be far easier to defend than trying explain how you cobbled it together yourself.

QMRacer, I tow a 24' United enclosed trailer with my 2006 Seneca 35GS (6.6L Duramax w/ Allison 2000 transmission). With my race car (Factory Five Racing roadster), tools, tires, fuel, etc. the trailer weighs ~7000 lbs. Here in central PA we have lots of mountains and I've never had a problem with pulling power. The Seneca is real comfortable at 65-70 mph. Hope this helps!

Many Seneca owners have installed an electric brake controller, Freightliner has the necessary wiring harness stuffed up under the dash. Seems to depend on the year where they hid it. Buts it's there! Tell us your year and someone will likely chime in and let you know.
