trik-l-start for 2018 greyhawk 26Y

Hi All, I'm not familiar how the greyhawk is wiring. Will chassis battery be charged on shore power? Do I need to install trik-l-start for that? Thanks.

I don't know about 2018, but my 2016 does not charge the chassis battery whilst on shore power.

I added a trik-l-start.

Best way to tell if your chassis battery is being charged is to take your voltmeter and measure the chassis battery voltage.

The 2017 Greyhawk didn't have that either.

+1

My 2018 29MV didn't come with trik-l-start, so I added it. It was pretty easy, and well worth it IMO.

Hi Bob, are you connect trik-l-start to relay isolator?

Did mine strictly by the instructions.

The isolator/relay should be on the upper firewall in the driver's side of the engine compartment.

I verified I had the right one by putting my finger on the relay and having my son push the "emergency" start button on the lower left dash panel (this temporarily ties the house battery to the chassis battery in the event you have a dead or weak chassis battery); I could feel the click of the relay in my finger, and hear it as well.

I use a battery tender and plug it into a dashboard power outlet. Those outlets are hot all the time. The battery tender comes with an adapter to plug it directly into a power port. Easier than hooking it up to the battery with alligator clips.

The Trik L Start is only 3(maybe 4) wires if I remember right. Well worth it. I add it to all my rigs.
