Truck Stop Washing

Has anyone used a truck wash, such as Blue Beacon, at a truck stop to clean their motorhome? Finalizing plans for our summer trip and thought I might try one.

When we had motor home we use Blue Beacon and others independent washes as well. We had good results with all.

Thanks, think we will give them a try.

Tried it for the first time this month. After returning from the gulf, salt spray, bugs the whole works. Stopped at Blue Beacon, 4 guys washing the rig, took 20 minutes. Beautiful. I will never wash my rig by myself again. It was spotless. The only pain was the waiting in line.

RV wash

I had the worst luck with Little Sisters Truck & RV wash. They use these huge brushes-like 30" or more- and left scratches in my 3 month old Seneca. They washed an over-road trailer before mine and must not have cleaned the wash water or brushes. It was half-price Thursday and I got my half-a-job.

How well do they work on the roof, with the antenna(s), vents, A/C, etc up there?

Streaking Beacon does a pretty good job on 5W's also, they don't really do the roofs just the rest of the rig. Surprised about Little Sisters comment above as they used to do good washes.

Beaumont

Great results at the one in Beaumont last month. Wish I had one in town. My Seneca came out beautiful for $57!

How do they price washing a RV? Is it by the ft or a set price?

Never answer a sweet thing advertising a Truck Stop Wash on the CB. IT might not be what you are expecting haha...

I ordered entire package: wash, rainy, and engine wash. They handed me a spotlight to check the engine after cleaning. I believe it was a packaged deal for RV.

Used Blue Beacon twice. Once on the road and once when I got back to Denver. Lot of Magnesium Chloride coming back from Sacramento through Wyoming. Both did a great job even on the Wrangler toad. About $ 55.00.

The only thing that you need to be careful about is that the decals do not like high-pressure spays.

Agreed. I had them brush the front end on the Diamond Shield film. No pressure wash.
