Tv signal line amplifier ?

Is this (see pic) a signal amplifier for the tv ?
What does the adjustment knob do and how am I supposed to adjust it ?

This is located behind the bedroom tv.

Mine is a little different but my info packet says it is a signal booster when it is turned on and mine has one light and a push button.

I bet that yours is the same. Note that if dry camping the amplifier draws power from your 12 volt system and should be off if not needed. Not much, but every amp counts.

Mine is a push button also with a light. And you want to turn it off if your ever on cable. It will just generate snow.

Would that have something to do with the satellite dish system? The brochure lists these, also: Blu-Ray™ with HDMI® connections to all televisions.
Cable TV hookup with RG-6 coax and video selector switch.

No push-button for Off/On.
Just the little dial for some sort of adjustment....

I guess I will "adjust" it to see what it does.

Is that an HDMI port in the middle?

The standard OTA signal amps have a 12V cigarette lighter-type socket in the middle with a push-button power switch. No dial adjustment.

ETA: Is that "wall wart" right next to it providing power?

Interesting; the standard OTA amps run on 12V, not 110.

Yes, HDMI cable comes out and goes to the TV.
Two lights on it. One for power and one for the signal.
It is plugged into 110v right next to it.

NO on/off button. I'll have to try it unplugged and also try playing with the dial that it labeled "EQ".

I think I found the answer:

https://www.aten.com/global/en/produ...tenders/ve807/

It's an HDMI amplifier/extender. You say this plate is in the bedroom? I would assume it extends the signal from the front unit where a satellite or cable box would be attached and allows a full-strength signal to make it to the rear of the coach for viewing on that TV.

This one apparently allows HDMI to travel over CAT 5 networking cable? Sorry, that's my brother's gig, I don't do IT support...

ETA: Your 12V OTA booster should be located somewhere near the main TV up front, and hopefully somewhat close to the antenna. The wall plate will have a male coax jack, a 12V socket and a push-button power switch. The power to that booster must be off for cable or satellite to work.

Perfect, thank you for the link !!
The manual in the link explains what the "EQ" is for and it reads like I might be able to solve an intermittent problem of the TV "blinking" with adjusting of the "EQ" knob.

Thank you !

Ahha! a new thing to extend the HDMI to the bedroom. My 2011 only has coax there.

Ok so I have my outside tv out doing some mods and there I find laying on the floor under the cabinets is one of these wall plates. It’s all wired up to the outside tv but being it’s laying there I was able to look at the back of it and find a model number and that search came up with the is data sheet and user manual on the unit.
