U-Dinette in 2016 RedHawk
I just bought a 2016 jayco redhawk 29xk, and just returned from the walkthrough before taking possession. When we were going over it, the dealer said that the U-dinette folded into a bed. During the last walkthrough, myself nor the technician could remove the metal base from the U-dinette. The table top comes off, but the base pole won't come out. Are there models of the U-dinette that don't covert to a bed on the 2016's? Picture attached for reference

Sounds like it is just being very stubborn. The original owner.may have never removed it.

If it is still stuck a soaking with a little WD40 might help. No telling what is caked around and down in the slot.

Thanks man! I'll give it a shot. From what y'all are posting, it sounds like that it's just stuck and not fixed in place. I gave it a wiggle, and so did the tech, but he didn't want to break it. He looked pretty young and green, so it wouldn't surprise me if this was the case. I have a little hope now

It’s stuck. Spray some lubricant on the pole at the base and let it sit overnight. Then wiggle it and give it a tug.

Try taping gently all around with a rubber mallet near the top.

Get a bigger hammer!"

That is pretty bad when the tech doing the walk through with you didn't know what the problem was. I would not let that place work on anything of mine.
