Ultragauge XM and Transmission Tempertures

I'm in deep research about the Ultragauge and whether or not it can read the transmission temperature. The manufacturer says their unit is capable of reading transmission temps.

My question is are the transmission and the computer of the Ford E450 set up to allow the OBDII to read transmission temperatures ...???

It really depends on the programming of the E450 black box. I have an older SG I used in a PU I no longer own, and had to "write" a short program I found on the webz to get the SG to read the ATF temp. Took about 5 minutes to do it once I found it, and worked just fine.

The signal exists. I set up my Scangauge to read the transmission fluid temperature in my 2016 E450.
