Under My Bed 2016 31DS

Removed the plywood cover from under the mattress. What a spaghetti bowl. The photo was taken after I cleaned out the area. It was loaded with wire clippings and pieces of carpet. Hope nothing shorts out while we are sleeping.

Mine used to look that way till I took it apart and did it correctly, now I do not worry too much about a burning bed

Since there is not much ventilation in there, I was thinking of installing 2 vents to help keep things cool in there.

Same here. My 2015 31DS was like that. It was a mess with wire clippings, carpet and wood remnants. More quality control would be nice. It's not rocket science to have someone quickly look through the rig before it goes out the door, regardless of what Jayco says.

After I went thru mine cleaning up wiring mess and making things neat, had to take it to a dealer to have transfer switch replaced due to recall, tech commented first one he had seen that looked nice.

Piece-work labor

I think these messes are the result of piece-work labor and very little quality control.
The people installing whatever leave debris as long as it doesn't show. Pride in workmanship only exists in what the buyer can see in the RV industry
