Undercarriage mesh

I have a 2017 Grayhawk which has a black nylon mesh affixed to it’s entire underbelly. What is this for? Do I need to replace it if part of it ripped off?
Thanks

I dont have any mesh under my 2021, and have never seen any used under a class C. Interesting to know how is it integrated around the exhaust system of the vehicle and generator (if you have one)?

Not sure what it would be used for; a guard against insects and varmints from entering from underneath?, doesnt seem like that would work.

Could it be its something installed by a previous owner?

Hopefully others will respond that may have encountered this before.
