Uni EZ Pass question

We've not had a transponder before due to infrequent use of toll roads and the problem of each state needing a different one. Now that the EZ Pass seems to be accepted in many Eastern states I am wondering if the "Uni" will work for our Greyhawk C class? With the cabover bed Can the "readers) pick it up?
If it will work I think we may get one for the convenience factor more than anything else!
Thanks for any information.

We have ours mounted on the license plate holder. Works most of the time except once in Ohio.

Enter your license plate number on your account so in case if it doesn't read, it'll know it's you by the photo of your plate.

Mine works very well attached to the window next to the mirror in my 31fs. Never missed a toll, even in Ohio.

To expand on this thread, do we need a separate UNI for our toad?

We have our EZ Pass mounted top center of the windshield and have not had a problem. It's been read correctly on all the toll roads we've taken in a variety of eastern states.

Yes. With toad is one EZ Pass class and without toad is a different class. My with toad is blue and without toad is white.

The class is determined by axle count and SZ Pass does not count axles as to go through a toll both regardless of what no knowledge wizards on the subject think. The transponders for RVs and cars do not function the same as the transponders for commercial trucks.

I'm in Ohio, live here, have an EZ from New Hampshire and use it across 4 vehicles and only one of them is my tow vehicle that sometimes is towing one of two trailers and I get billed accordingly without making changes other than moving the EZ from vehicle to vehicle. Axle count is real.

I get charged for my trailer when towing and not when just driving. I am buying a new car and will get the portable one. Last time I flew and rented I called EZ and put the rental plate temporarily on my account and saved the $10 daily "convenience fee" rental company up-charge to use their account. I had to tell the rental company I did not want their EX activated.

That's what I was hoping to hear. I think we'll go for it. We don't use a lot of toll roads but sometimes (especially in Ohio) we find them convenient.
