Utility Panel Issues and Water Leak

I submitted the following to Jayco regarding my brand new 2020 Greyhawk. Any input from the forum will also be appreciated.

1. My shower faucet leaks through the small hole at the fitting where the water hose attaches to the faucet. It is brand new, used for the first time this weekend. Can it be fixed or does it have to be replaced? It is manufactured by Dura.

2. None of the valve lineups at the utility center operate correctly. I am able to perform most of the indicated functions by using trial and error with the valve positions. For some functions I have to reverse the conical strainer at the city water inlet fitting in order for the onboard pump to create a suction on my prepared sanitizing solution. Can you provide me with a diagram of how the plumbing should be connected to the back of the valves, and also a description of how the valve internals function.

This is extremely common for us. I will say that, over time, the check valve will loosen up. I no longer have to flip the strainer over.

Very disappointed that Jayco has not responded. They had immediately replied back that they had my message and I would be contacted.

The shower faucet is easily repaired with a diverter tee. I replaced the one in our outside shower faucet, you have to remove the faucet and take it apart, but it's really simple to do Here's what one looks like.

Just a short update. Jayco never did follow-up.

Shower faucet is an intermittent issue, Sometimes it sprays and sometimes it doesn't. I will probably eventually fix this myself.

Utility center issues are real. I have not figured out where the plumbing is not "piped" as designed, but I have figured out a workaround for everything I need to do there.

Utility Center

Today I was prepping to sanitize my unit, getting ready to road rip next week. After doing a couple of flushes on the system, using a wand to clean the black tank, and then filling and draining all 3 tanks, I discovered a water leak into my cabin area by the master bunk from the pump area. My inspection revealed a steady drip from the back of my utility center manifold. I also noticed the cabin was not sealed at all from the utility center "box" and the cabin. There was almost a 3/8" gap between the front left side of the utility center and the cabin. To see it I had to stick my head inside the utility box and look back into the box, forward and left. Any water that might spray into the box could and has entered the cabin area.

THIS IS THE ONLY IMPORTANT PART OF THIS POST: I pulled the manifold out a bit, as far as the pex tubing would allow, which placed the drip outside the cabin area so I could continue the sanitizing op. While it was apart and the valve handles were off of the valve stems, i discovered that the valve stems could be rotated 360 degrees. I rotated the valves out 180 degrees a couple of times for each valve until I had the valves aligned so that the manufacturer's instructions could be followed to correctly operate the utility center. I have now discarded my posted, trial and error instructions, which up until now I had to use to get water to flow where I needed it to go.

Fixing the drip will be another issue. But I now have a utility center that works like it was supposed to all along.

Thanks for following up to post the solution. That will likely help somebody down the line. I'm sure it's frustrating that it took this long to find the issue but glad to see that you did!
