Water Connection Leaks

We have a '04 Greyhawk 27DS. For the past couple of years I have had a hard time connecting my hose to the connection shown in the attached pictures without it leaking. I try replacing washers in the brass fitting, but does not really help. I am wondering if I need to replace the entire connection with the brass hose fitting. There are 3 screws holding it as shown, but am afraid to take it off for fear of breaking something or not getting it back on correctly, or not finding a replacement part. Any thoughts?

I have seen those exact fittings for sale as replacements (the part with the 3 screws just around the hose fitting). Also it appears that yours would be easy to replace, just take the rectangle area off and you can get to the back to disconnect and reconnect the hose that is behind the panel.

In fact, check this out, however I am not saying this is an exact fit for yours, you should verify the measurements listed. https://www.amazon.com/JR-Products-6...1960461&sr=8-5

Actually as I looked at yours again, you may not even need to take off the rectangular panel, just the three screws for each.

Had a leaking problem on my 2017 Greyhawk and tried the washer replacement without success. Just for the heck of it I added a second washer and that solved my problem. Easy thing to try.

Often when connecting hoses together an extra washer will stop the leak.

A friends Palomino had that issue, and close inspection showed a very small "groove" behind the rubber washer. I ended up replacing the whole part for him. In his case a second washer wasn't helping, since it was leaking behind them. A very strange circumstance.

On some hoses the male fitting can become damaged. If the fitting is constructed of thin sheet metal and it's dropped on a concrete pad, it can bend out-of-round, and that will cause it to leak. Try replacing the male fitting on the hose with one made of solid brass. I bet that will solve your problem.

X2, have had this issue. Try a different hose if you can before doing an end replacement.

I went with quick connects and wrapped plumbers tape on everything. Water tight, no drips.

On our last motorhome, ours leaked from the pressure of the hose hanging on the fitting. I started using a 90 degree adapter and it took care of the problem.
