Water heater

I have a 2015 Jayco Redhawk. Along with the switch in the control panel to turn on the electric water heater, there are also switches at the sink and outside shower. Does anybody know what those switches are for and how they operate? Thanks

It would seem that those are for your water pump. They will turn/off the pump at either switch. The one in the outside shower compartment is there so that you don't have to run around to the interior switch to turn on the water pump when trying to use the outside shower.

There is an easy way to find out if they are pump switches. Turn them both off and open a faucet to let the pressure off of the system. If the pressure (water flow) does not stop and the pump runs, then that one is not a pump switch. If it does stop (water flow), then turn one switch on and listen for the water pump or also open a faucet and water should flow. It that works for you, then do the same for the switch in the outside shower. I do think that the switches are simply labeled wrong, but you will find out by doing this.

Thanks. There are actually two switches at the sink. One says water heater and the other is un-marked. They are the type of switches that light up. I wish Jayco would have been a little more explicit in their owners manual.

If the unmarked switch is in your bathroom, it’s most likely the switch for the bathroom light.
