Water heater operation

My 02 26 ft has a on off switch in the panel to the right of the intrance door. When on the red indicator light is on. This must be for 110v operation to heat the water. for propane the manual says turn on the romote switch. I can't find the remote switch. What am I missing? For propaine operation it has a electronic ignitor. Thanks for any help, stan

My panel by the door has two switches for the water heater, one for gas operation and one for electric. You can turn both on at the same time to get hot water faster (assuming you are connected to shore power).

My 04 Jayco has both switches in the control panel. However, my previous fifth wheel had a switch inside the access door to the water heater on the outside of the rig. This was for the ELECTRIC operation and was just a rocker type switch. Open the outside access door and see if there is some kind of switch inside similar to my fifth wheel. If there is a switch there it is most likely the electric switch. Let us know what you find out.
