On my 2010 24' Precept Sprinter style motorhome. Just drained and refilled water system for an early Spring trip, but my propane water heater won't work. The first time I turned the switch on it tried to fire but quit. Now when I turn the switch on nothing happens. This one has the electronic igniter. Propane tank valve is open. There's water in the tank. Haven't tried the electric water heater function. Propane water heater worked fine last season. TIA for any suggestions.
Try it on electric.
Make sure you have gas to unit by making sure gas is to the stove. Sounds like you may not have gas to the furnace.
Does it initially lite and go out?
Flame sensor could need to be cleaned or replaced.
Check fuses.
Thanks for the suggestion Boss Wagon. Tried the burners - OK, and have been running the furnace - OK. But for some reason the HW tank seems to be be dead. Thought I was overlooking something obvious but think I'll just let it go for now and see how things go after a few days on the road.
Thanks for suggestions dougtoms. Furnace is working fine. Water heater tried to fire the first time but flared out, after that nothing. Will try one more thing like what The Hawk suggested which is check the ignite tube for a critter.
Sorry about that jerry, I get easily confused lol
HW, frig and furnace problems all have similar gas functions.
Hopefully you'll get ur figured out and working.
Hawk, Thanks for suggestion. Removed nozzle but clean as a whistle. Will head out on trip anyway, can use electric water heating element when in campgrounds. Maybe something simple like not enough water in tank or something? Best regards!
