Water Leak

We have a wet spot showing up between the two seats in the cab, on the floor (the carpet is sopping wet) - nothing dripping from the ceiling. This occurs when the unit is stationary, so shouldn't be coming from underneath. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

To start, we need to know what kind of unit? How old?

Sounds like the seal around the bottom of the doghouse is leaking. The doghouse is the engine cover between the seats.

not sure this would be the issue if the unit has been stationary. I would say something is leaking around the cab over bunk cap and running down the sides behind the passenger or drivers seat then running along the floor of the cab.

We had a 2003 GMC Savana Van. It had a rear hood to the engine compartment in the cabin area, much like the C Class motorhomes.
If we hesitated in the car wash, we would get a very wet spot on the floor.
Another possibility would be a bad heater core.

Maybe lay some tissue paper down (or slightly above and off the carpet) to figure out if it's coming top down or bottom up?

If the water is coming bottom up, yank the doghouse cover, climb under and start looking.

On our old coach, a 2008 Coachmen, when I crawled under, I saw a number of holes that had been left unsealed. Not sure if they were the source of a water intrusion, but I filled them up with some goop anyway.

If there's any good news here, I'd take: bottom up should be easier to find and (2) if there's that much water it also should make it easier to find.

Good luck!!!
