Water leaks in storage bays

Good morning everyone!
Hope everyone is enjoying losing an hour of sleep due to the clock change last night!...Anyway, drove the brand new shiny unit home in the Texas rain yesterday, and discovered as I was showing unit to my neighbor that the storage bays in front of and behind rear wheels were showing some water entry. I found the problem but my question is what to seal the gaps around the outside of the bays with? Should I use silicone of does anyone have a recommendation of something better to use? I learned on my last coach it is best to ask before doing as what I think would work may not always be the best choice...Thanks in advance everyone for your help and knowledge!
Travel Safe!

If you are referring to a gap in the door jam, then the right kind of weather stripping or a silicone bead would work.

I went around the inside bottom edge with clear silicone when I got mine home for just this reason. Didn't do the outside.
