water pump problem

I have a 2016 Jayco Greyhawk. On Wednesday we pulled into the rv park and check the pump before hooking up to city water. The pump worked fine. We are going to dry camp at Joshua Tree and before we leave I check the pump and it is not working. I am asking if anyone has had this problem and found it to be a simple fix. Of course besides the obvious like the pump is defective or is there water in the tank. Some of you may know about Jayco putting this new kind of water console/assembly with different dials to send the water in different directions. This may or may not be the problem but it could be related. Anyway if anyone has had this problem I would be happy to hear a solution.
Thanks,
Bill

I think your pump runs on demand. Try running it with an open water line.

water pump

I have tried the pump with the water lines open. We have dry camped many times before and this is a new problem. I thought of bleeding out the lines with city water connection (where we are parked now) and then went back to the fresh water tank with the pump and still does not work. Also I did check the screen that is right at the pump and that was clear. Thanks, Bill

Is there a shut off that someone may have accidentally turned off, like the by pass for winterizing?

make sure you move the valves to the "Normal" position for use when dry camping. Also if you can see the screen on the waterpump, do you see water in the clear window where the screen is located? Mine has a clear plastic cap around the screen you can see water flowing when it is working.

That is a good thought about the bypass but we are hooked up to city water for now and all is working there. Thanks! Bill
