Water pump replacement

I have a 2019 Greyhawk 30x and I need to replace the water pump. It is located in the wet bay which is very long and narrow due to the full wall slide above it.

My question is, has anyone replaced one on a unit like this? I have attached a picture. I assume I just need to remove the 2 screws on both ends and the white panel would be able to fold forward for access? The pump is mounted to the right side wall.

Suggestions ?

I didn’t replace mine but did move it down so it would be easy to replace. It was an ordeal getting to it. I didn’t take the panel loose but had to work by feel getting the 3 screws loose holding the plywood that the pump is mounted on. This is after moving it down. Now I can replace in 10 minutes.

I've got a 2020 Greyhawk 30XP, same thing. I haven't had to replace it yet but I know it's coming one day. I'll be watching to see what others have to say.

All I can say is, I’m glad I was home when I did mine. Took numerous tools that I wouldn’t have had on a trip.

Boy, Jayco sure took a step backwards. My 2017 Greyhawk has an access panel in the storage area so you can get to the water pump and filter. Strange that they did away with this valuable feature. I can't imagine replacing the pump without this access. I have replaced my pump twice so far.

Removing 2 screws on one side will probably not give you the access you need. I remounted my pump because it was not secured properly at the factory. Removing the screws on both ends of the panel, and then the brass nuts holdind the directional valves will loosen it enough for you to work in that compartment. You have to remove the valve handles (1 screw each) to get to the brass nuts. Once that's done you can move the valve and hose assembly for more room. Your outdoor shower will still be connected, but you will have enough movement to get to the pump.

Not sure about other Greyhawk models but it seems it's the 30X and 30XP that they put it behind that panel.

Extra pump

Mine is also easy to get to. I store an extra pump in the compartment where the pump is located under the bed. A broken pump can ruin a trip where you don’t have any hook-ups!

Look at the picture in post #2 I can almost read the Shurflo part # and specs.

They are all plumbed and wired the same. If you can get the make and model of your existing pump, Amazon has them. You may want to get one with a little more power if replacing.

See the attached link on repairing the pump. If you replace your pump you may want to fix the old one to have as a spare. Easy $10 fix.

https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f...0-a-91737.html

My original symptom was the pump was pulsing intermittently as if it had lost pressure. It finally quit completely in the middle of the night mid peeing session (groan). There is a little micro switch that wears out and causes the pump to quit completely.
