We did it...

We ordered the Blue Ox towing system for our Traverse and had it installed yesterday. Just the thought of towing an additional 4750 pounds home, and a caravan of 55+ feet, had me quaking, until I realized it felt as if there nothing behind us. The brake system worked beautifully. too.

I'm so over the research of the towing part,,and oh, so ready for a trip!

What are you towing that gets you to 55'? Surely you aren't towing the Greyhawk 31DS in your signature with a Traverse (did your engine break down in the GH?)

ETA - oh, then the nickel drops - you are towing the Traverse with the GH. Wow, that's a big toad!

They are towing their Traverse with the Greyhawk as many of us motorhome owners do.
Given the motorhome, tow bar, and towed, the length of 55' is typical.

Yeah, I had already updated my post. I usually remember to look at what forum I'm in before posting a reply, but as a Traverse owner, this one caught my eye in the highlights. Like I said, took a minute for the nickel to drop.

Yep..Traverse is the toad...for now. Once we started on this adventure of going from a 15 foot TT to a motorhome, we decided to se the Traverse until we can both get retirement funds. Bob has yet to reach the magic age of income after career is done!
Yes, I'm a cougar...

Whether they were towing the Traverse with the Greyhawk or the Greyhawk with the Traverse the length would still be 55'.

But I don't think our 4-cylinder Terrain could tow our motorhome.
