Weather Station Transmitter Location

Hi Gang, received a wireless weather station (no wind speed/rain gage) for Xmas last year and wanted to set it up. Mounted the info screen next to the main coach door, but where to mount the outdoor sensor? Needs to be out of direct sunlight for best results. Behind rear bumper maybe?

Planning to put ours along side the frame near the steps.

In a CG, I'd set mine on top of a wheel; out of the sun and plenty of air circulation. Worked well until 'the last time.' It was wet and we were rushed so now it's mushed into the wet sod in an Ohio CG.

I did the same thing, put in on top of one of the wheels. I did not realize what I did until we got home and I saw the weather station receiver laying on my bed.

Mounted ours by the frame, near the steps. Out of the way. Works like a charm.

We put ours under the propane cover on the base that holds the propane tanks, worked perfect! Right between the two tanks

I put my sensor in the same place works well, except after one long trip on a very bumpy road, the sensor disappeared somewhere on the road.

It seems this is a common occurrence, the dreaded forgetting of the outdoor transmitter. I also left mine on top of the tire a few years ago only to realize this after I got home when there was no outdoor reading on the display.

The odd part about losing my outdoor transmitter was that the indoor/outdoor display frequently showed an outdoor temp. We just didn't whose temp or where.
