I just recently welded a support bracket on my Greyhawk's leveler bracket and didn't disconnect anything. No problems at all. A long time ago I seem to remember having to disconnect a magneto before welding to prevent damage to it.

If you feel more comfortable go ahead and disconnect the battery. Nothing on the 120 volt side of things should be bothered but you can always just flip all the breakers off.

I do a lot of car restoration work. I always disconnect the battery on anything that has a computer of any kind. Just a precaution that was taught to me years ago and has become a habit.

Are you going to void the chassis, b to b or structural warranties with the welding?

Drop the shore power cord and anything that might be a ground path. Let your tires insulate the camper from the ground.

Connect the welder ground cable with a very clean secure connection and close to where you are welding.
