Question What Is The Purpose Of This Hole?

We just purchased this 2022 Melbourne. It has this rectangular hole with a bracket in it located in the center panel just below the accessory power port.
My Jayco dealer has no idea of the purpose and I’m hoping someone on here would know.

Looks like a trim panel, maybe that's the handle to pull it off?

It is for your key fob. Just insert the key fob into the slot to start the engine.I usually keep my key fob in my pocket, which usually works. But if the engine will not start with the fob in my pocket, I take it out and insert it into the slot. I assume this places it closer to the receiver allowing for the engine to start. It is mentioned in your MB booklet. Hopes this helps.

I kinda thought that was the purpose but even the owners manual didn’t tell me (at least not that I could find…lol).
Thanks again!

I had read about it somewhere and never knew it was there until I saw this post! After about 7 months with the vehicle. Didn't realize I could find a cigarette lighter plug under there either. Sometimes a guy just has to stop and look around.
