What maps software do you use?

Hello,
We have put about 10,000 miles on our Greyhawk 30Z in the last year. My wife usually does the planning on her iPad. She has not been happy with the Triptik from AAA. What programs do you all use and how easy are they to use? We’re heading out Tuesday for a trip from the Houston area to Knoxville.
Thanks
Barry

There really is not much that has not been discussed here before and most of that information is available using the search feature at the top of the page. In addition Google has pages and pages of RV topics including this one. This from the search feature here:

Just signed up for RV Trip Wizard. Trying to figure it out. Looks like it will be what I need.
Thanks

I tell the story of how, in our first RV, after a long day of driving, DW took over the wheel.

As I recline in the Dinette, staring out the window, in and out of napping, my eyes happen to see a yellow warning sign fly by the window at 45mph.

Sign said: Tunnel Ahead - Max Height 10' 6"

Still in a sleepy stupor, I stammered "Wa... wa... Woh... won't.... Can't... fit. Stop. Stop... STOP!!!!!!!!! WE WON'T FIT!!!!"

Took me a good 15 seconds to form a coherent sentence.
She stopped and I decided to put an RV Dimensions note on the sun visor.

We were at Niagara Falls last year on the US side. There was a bridge at 11' 8". Our rig showed 11' 6" so on paper we should fit, but I didn't take the chance and went around it.

Personally I use the Garmin 850 RV gps. I also use Waze and Google for local stuff BUT the beauty of Garmin is that it satellite based and NOT reliant and any spotty or non existent cell tower coverage.
Of course any navigation aid is just that, an aid. Have a good general idea of your route is always good
