What type of Converter in 2021 Grayhawks
Just bought a 2021 Grayhawk 31F. First project out of the gate i would like to do is upgrade the battery(s).
It comes with a plain black no name battery that i trust as far as i could throw it. Not my first rodeo with stock dealer batteries and not risking vacation time fighting a sub par battery out the gate.
I tried to find which model converter i have and the manual it comes with is for both the Progressive Dynamics Intelli-Power PD9100 and PD9200. It looks like the 9200 includes the “charge wizard” feature that would be useful to have if i’m dropping cash on high quality and $$$$ batteries, but the 9100 does not.
Before i start disassembling paneling under the bed to get to the converter i thought i would try the forum to see if people with similar model may know this answer already?
Additionally the battery tray under the steps looks like it may size wise possibly fit two group 24 12V batteries. Not much room if wanting to get bigger 12v or 6v. Not sure why they made it so shallow but i don’t think the taller 6V batteries will fit there.
Was curious how many folks have done the battery upgrade (added a 2nd 12V or added two 6V) WITHOUT having to modify the battery compartment or put the battery in a totally different location.
My first thought is maybe 2 Optima Blue Top marine/deep cycle batteries cause they are relatively compact. I honestly don’t mind spending the money for a high quality and long lasting battery that gives me the amp hours and actually fits in there.
Anybody in the group have any thoughts?
