What's your big Trip this summer?

We are headed up the Cali coast from San Diego to Malibu with stops in Kings Canyon on the way back east.

And you?

We have two longer trips planned, each one just over a week long. One is to Kanab in southern Utah for a week of volunteering at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. We make this trip at least once each season and it's about 2400 miles round trip. The other is looping through northeastern Washington, northern Idaho, southwestern Montana, southern Idaho and northeastern Oregon. That one will be about 1700 miles. The rest of our planned trips for the season are weekend or extended weekend trips.

Our big trip is not much of one. We are going to Iowa for a wedding, we are taking 11 days to complete the trip. I have been trying to get my DW to Iowa for years, so I guess, she will get a small sampling.

Going to Virginia for a couple of weeks, for the yearly family get-together. Peace and quiet, with a couple of doses of wine thrown in for good measure.

Heading out to Sturgis for the bike rally. We bought the Seismic 4212 just for this trip. Two couples going and we wanted to have PLENTY of room for bikes and people as we will be together for 16 days!

Custer State Park, South Dakota for a base camp to tour the whole area including the Badlands. A week at Cheyenne Frontier days rodeo and visit the whole area. Next stop Palo Duro Canyon State Park in Texas. I am sure there will be stops between each place and then we slowly work our way back to West Virginia. Living large in the slow lane!

Our longest trip this year is NJ to Yellowstone, heading out end of July for a couple of weeks, Then in October to Cherrystone for their Halloween Celebration, lots of fun for the kids! Also heading down to Williamsburg in early November. We also have trips to Atlantic City, Lancaster PA, and Wildwood NJ. We live in Cherry Hill, NJ so some are short trips and 2 are medium, get there in less then a day, and one is long, 2400 miles one way! Can't wait for the traveling to begin!

We are heading out from Indianapolis this Saturday towards California with stops along the way in Albuquerque, the Grand Canyon, Joshua Tree National Park, Sequoia National Park, San Francisco and Yosemite. We will be riding with friends in Yosemite all day long one day then we will head back to Indiana through Las Vegas just because we can. Total trip will only be 11 days.

We are enjoying a break from after school activities and sports to head east in our new Greyhawk 31FS - Bozeman, Montana to Bar Harbor, Maine. We're circling back through New York state to attend the IMSA auto races at Watkins Glen, visit the Corning Museum, and check out Niagra Falls. Hiking, biking, eating...can't wait!

Wow, some of you guys are going on some long trips, if I may ask where do you guys park for the night going to your destination, the wife said that she don't think that she trust truck stop so I'm think Wal-Mart something like that? We have a 1,200 miles trip coming up in September leaving Western Washington going to Las Vegas, NV and back.

Personally, I made reservations at rv parks along the way. With 2 teenagers on board, they like having a pool and we prefer they shower in a bath house instead of using all of our hot water

We're stopping in Pa. 2/3 the way down the state, at a campground. We made reservations ahead of time for the trip down and back, for a night.

We're going for 5 days the last week of July to Dinkey Creek campground in the western Sierra Nevada. First time going there. It had good reviews. About a 6 hour drive from home.
