wheel simulator

How on an E450 do I get the chrome wheel simulators off to make easier access to the valve stems and any suggestions on what to extend the rear stems with.

I took mine to truck shop had metal valve stems installed longer ones on rear now I do not have to remove simulators on wheels and make putting in air and checking pressure a breeze, if you keep taking them off they will not hold as well the grip tabs get bent I used stainless tie wraps one one each wheel to keep it in place so I did not lose one, they are not cheap

I installed all new valve stems purchased from the Tire Man before my vacation last year in Alaska. Also added TST 507 tire pressure monitor system for added safety. Both I think are a great combination. Tire-Man: Products

In answer to one of the OP's original questions, just pry the simulator off using something between the rim and the simulator.
