Where is the leak?

We are the happy owners of a new (to us) 2014 Redhawk 29xs. We did a very thorough PDI when we picked it up from the dealer, and have been thrilled with it so far. It's just like new, runs like a charm and is just perfect for us. But we have one little problem.

We are traveling through the Southwest, and just spend a couple of weeks in New Mexico. On our way from NM to Arizona, we drove thru an awful rain/hail/thunderstorm---not much fun!

The next day we noticed a long "hump" down the middle of the floor--mostly in front of the slide out. We have also noted a couple of slight soft spots in the kitchen area.

Fast forward to 2 days later, and the hump is gone! So----we are guessing we have a leak somewhere in the undercarriage that is causing the underlayment to swell when wet.

Any ideas where the water might be getting in? How in the world do we figure it out, and then-----how to fix it?

Thanks in advance for any advice or help!

When you noticed the hump was gone..was the slide in or out? And was this "hump" soft to the touch?

The hump is totally gone-both when the slide is in and when it's out. The hump was evident in both positions also. The hump did not seem soft at all.

Could it be something to do with the slide and not a water leak?

Hmmmm- I guess that's a possibility. We'll keep an eye on it. The slide seems to work just fine-- goes in and out smoothly.

Thanks so much for your suggestions- --

Any other ideas??

Is your hot water heater nearby? Check all those connections. Plus the water connections under sink.

Did your dealer offer a warranty on your new used MH? FreinD of mine bought one this spring and they gave him a 60 day (???) Warranty one the whole MH. This is not a requirement of the dealer on a used it.

No warranty- they offered a policy to purchase- but it was a few thousand dollars! So we declined. We can handle repair costs, unless it's just ridiculously expensive.

We will check out the other suggestions/ water heater, etc. no leaked u dear the sink that we can see.....
